Naruto - Sai - Breakeven by GaaraJamiE88 Naruto - Sai - Breakeven by GaaraJamiE88
Proud!!! Finally I like one of my work! I'm very proud of it**

I knew Sai (Naruto) was the right character to use for this work **

Again inspired by a song: Breakeven by The script OMG I love that song!!

I had to upload it yesterday but I decided to do some "little" editing which tooks me...too much time! XD

I hope you like it!

Commission anyone?? Check this journal XD--->[link]

Okay I have to say I am not into Naruto at all so I don't can say anything about likeness, though what catched my eye instantly was the bright and wonderfully combined colours. The background is awesomely done and the colours work together very well, giving the instant impression of a nice and warm spring or summer day.

The sun directly behind the character and his glowing skin turn the attention on him instantly. The posing is very good and natural.

The only thing that I can critique is the skin color right were the sun hits it on the edges. Maybe it is just me but it seems to be a little too orange / pink compared to his skintone.

Overall the picture wants to make me sit out in the sun and draw, shame it isn't already spring here.

Very nice work ^^

I really like this art.
The lights are really lovely and the grass adds a touch of finesse..

I realized it just now that what style you used to Sai is Cell shade right? It's really stunning to see that Sai is completely blended well with the background. But I think it would be better if his hair also have some shades into it, because somehow for me, it gives off a flat feeling.

It is already good the way it is, but I think it is better if the shirt is not color gray because it somehow mix with the drawing palette of Sai (which is also gray).

overall, this is REALLY a piece of ART. :)
Continue sharing such wonderful ART.. :)

Oh my gosh this is sooooo good! I love Sai! It honestly took me a sec to figure out that the butterfly was part of his jutsu! You did a brilliant job with this!

Amazing colours you've got there. I like the background as well. Though I really think you should credit the original artist for the base... but then you didn't actually use the base in here. You just traced it. What are your views on tracing bases? Do you think I'd get away without crediting the original base artist if all I did was trace their base? Or do you think I should credit them anyway even if I didn't use their base in the drawing, just the pose and yeah...
